Veszprém will travel to Berlin with a one-goal advantage for the second leg of the EHF Champions League quarter-final, while Barça will take a two-goal lead from Nantes into the final 60 minutes of the battle for a place at the EHF FINAL4 in Cologne.

Füchse Berlin had a 26:21 lead in Veszprém and looked in control, but the hosts produced a strong comeback, inspired also by a brilliant spell from Stefan Dodić, who scored in the 53st minute to put his team in front at 30:29.

Barça also made a big step towards Cologne, taking a 32:30 win away to HBC Nantes. The Spanish champions will start the decisive second leg at home with a two-goal advantage.
