Snorri Gudjonsson extends until 2032
Snorri Steinn Guðjónsson has extended his contract as coach of the Icelandic men’s national handball team until 2032. Arnór Atlason, the national team’s assistant coach, has also extended his contract until the same time.
The extension is part of HSÍ’s long-term strategy, which looks systematically to the future with the Olympic Games as its guiding light. Special emphasis is placed on preparations for major tournaments, as the next projects leading up to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles will be key factors in the team’s development.
According to the association’s policy, the emphasis is on the continuous development of the team between major tournaments, where success and development go hand in hand. The extension of the contracts until 2032 also ensures continuity in training and a clear vision for the future of Icelandic men’s handball.
